- A paramedic since 1996, Jamie Bono has practiced in several types of private and municipal emergency service systems in many capacities: field training officer, instructor, program administrator, flight paramedic, curriculum development team leader and large event response coordinator, among others. During that time he has had numerous opportunities to work with the development and testing phases of emergency services equipment from training aids to monitor/defibrillators.
In addition to his EMS work, Jamie is currently a Teaching Fellow at the University of Pittsburgh where he studies game rhetorics and transmedia narratives; persuasive play; and critical theory. He is also interested in rhetorical practices of risk communication concerning disaster planning, response, and mitigation.
